Kordiam offers a pre-defined set of tasks such as "text", "picture" or "video" that you can choose from.
You can adapt this set of tasks to your needs by
- defining your own tasks,
- de-activating tasks that you do not use and
- re-sorting the list of tasks by drag & drop.
Defining your own tasks
Go to the Settings > Tasks page (you need to have admin rights for this).
At the bottom of the tasks list click on "+ TASK".
In the layer that opens
- select an Icon (you can use the same icon multiple times)
- Task label - name the task (e.g. "Interview")
- Type - specify whether the new task is a text task, an image task, or another type. This selection determines whether a text body or a file upload is available in the Content tab.
- Task status - select the statuses applicable to these tasks. Task statuses can be defined, edited, or deactivated by administrators.
- Default task status - specify the default status to be used for this task.
- Text length - if the task is of type "Text," you can define specific text length requirements.
- Custom fields - if you have defined custom fields for tasks, you can select which of these fields should be available for these tasks.
- Standard cost - If the cost feature is activated, the edit widget will display the cost field and currency. Enter the default cost value for this task and adjust the currency if needed. For more details about the cost function, see here.
Save your entries - done. The new task will be added to the end of the task list and will be immediately available to users. You can adjust the placement of tasks in the list (see below: "Change Order").
There is no limit to the number of tasks you can add.
De-activating tasks
If you want to de-activate a task simply hover with your mouse over the task icon or label and select "DEACTIVATE" on the right side next to the task.
The task is moved below the list into an area with all de-activated tasks. Stories containing a de-activated task remain active and still display that task.
You can re-activate a task by hovering with your mouse over it and selecting "ACTIVATE" on the right side next to the deactivated task.
Re-sorting the list of tasks
You can re-sort the list of tasks by drag & drop.
