Delete a User Profile

Deleting a user profile is easy: Go to the page Settings > Users, search for the user and open her profile for editing.

Scroll down to find the "trash bin" symbol (see screenshot). Click on it, confirm your deletion request - done.

"Cannot delete user profile" - Why not?

When trying to delete a user you may receive a warning message telling you that the user profile cannot be deleted.

It is one of Kordiam's most sophisticated and outstanding features that a user can be connected to multiple accounts in Kordiam.

Example 1: A freelancer is working for two or more Kordiam customers

Example 2: An editor of one media organisation cooperates with another media organisation and has full or partial access to their story planning.

You as an admin may or may not be aware of these cross-connections.

Allowing an admin to delete such a user profile could lead to a serious loss of data for that user.

For that reason, Kordiam blocks you from deleting such a user profile. However, it offers you the possibility to remove all his access rights to your account.

Important: If you know of a user's cross-connection to another organisation (maybe a partnering media company) do tell the other admins about the removal and suggest they remove her user profile as well.
