Users entering an assignment can ask the assignee to explicitly confirm or reject an assignment.
The answer will be relayed to them by email and is also visible in the assignment lists in Kordiam.
There are two ways for an assignee to confirm or reject an assignment:
- By email
- In Kordiam
Confirming/rejecting an assignment by email
The emails that Kordiam sends out for new assignments to assignees contain Confirm and Reject links at the top of the email body in case the person entering the assignment has activated this feature:
Users confirm or reject in a simple two-step process:
- Click on the appropriate link - a new email opens
- Send that email - done!
Users can enter an optional note into the confirmation/rejection email which will be send to the user who requested the feedback.
The subject line of the confirmation/rejection email must not be edited because Kordiam uses it to identify the story that the feedback belongs to.
Please note that some email software does not correctly create the confirmation/rejection emails: The subject line of the email must look something like "Confirm:C13243545_-9577951_8_13272569387874917_ - Please do NOT edit this subject line". Some email software leave this line blank. If this is the case users should
- confirm or reject assignments in Kordiam (see below)
- or use an alternative email software (e.g. Gmail or Outlook)
