Over the coming months of 2026, we will install an Model Context Protocol (MCP) server based on our new API 2.0.
Initially, the MCP server will offer the same functions as our current API. In addition, our product team is working on conceptual solutions to provide AI with better context. For example, this will enable the fields in Kordiam to be correctly interpreted by an LLM (Large Language Model).
We are also working on a new, more flexible channel type. With these channels, users will be able to create customisable "boxes” with publication dates. Specific goals can then be defined for these boxes, such as a number of topics with specific user needs. This is a prerequisite for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) to be able to make future planning suggestions.
Another concept is using AI to automatically populate fields in a topic map or template. For instance, this could be used when generating an entry from an email forwarded to the Kordiam inbox.
