With Custom Fields, you can define your own fields for the entries, visible on the Detailed Entry Mask. With these, you can collect additional information about a story or further classify your stories.
As a Kordiam Admin, you will find the settings for this under "Settings > Custom Fields".
Custom fields can be set up on Story level, Task level and Platform level.
Currently, there are four field types available:
- Text: Can be used for shorter or longer texts and can include links.
- Single selection: Define a list with several options. For each story, one of these options can be selected. You can also define whether an empty value should be allowed, or whether the first option should apply by default.
- Multiple selection: Similar to the single selection, you can create a list of options, but then several options can be selected from it.
- Date: Add a date field to your stories. The date field can be used to sort stories on the Story List and Tasks page chronologically based on the date you specify.
- Number: Add a number field to your entries to display numerical data. It also allows for easy sorting based on the specified values.
Where are Custom Fields displayed?
On the Detailed Entry Mask:
This example shows custom fields at all three levels: Red = Story level, Green = Task level, and Blue = Platform level.
On the Story List:
On the Tasks Page:
Each custom field can be displayed in a separate column on the Story List and the Tasks page. However, task-specific custom fields can only be displayed on the task page. You can also group and filter by single and multiple selection fields on these pages. Sorting by single selection fields, date and number fields is also possible. Read more about the Story List and its functions here and about the Tasks page here.
Note: In version 1 of the Tasks page, it is not yet possible to sort or group by task-specific custom fields. This feature will only be available in a later version of the Tasks page.
