Administrators can create shifts in the "Settings > Shifts" menu to assign employees to different shifts for managing daily operations.
You can create classic shifts, such as Sunday, early, or late shifts, as well as rotating responsibilities, such as a social media service, or other changing hours such as home office schedules.
After clicking "Add Shift," an entry mask will open where you can name the shift and define its properties:
Groups: For which group (department, section, etc.) should this shift apply? Select the relevant groups here.
Occurence, Days & Time, Minimum staffing: Select on which days and from when to when a shift will run. The small numbers after the days indicate the minimum number of people the shift should be staffed with on that day. Click on the number to change it.
Availability: This specification currently has no direct influence on the use of the shift function, but should nevertheless be set correctly, since future functions in Kordiam will be based on it. Assignment to a shift or duty may mean that the employee is available to perform tasks (for example, employees assigned to Sunday duty are available to perform tasks on Sunday). In other cases, however, assignment to a shift may mean that the employee is not available to accept tasks.
Colors: Open the "More options" menu and choose between 16 colors.
Note: Leave notes to add further instructions. Shift notes will be displayed on the Dashboard and on the "Management > Shifts" page when clicking on the respective shift.
