Create and Modify a Repeating Event

Repeating events like monthly council meetings are common in most newsrooms. Kordiam makes it possible to enter an event once, and have it repeated in your newsroom's calendar daily, weekly, monthly or on an annual basis.


Enter repeating events

Open the entry mask. Click on "Repeat" right next to the event date and time entry fields. Once activated, you can also determine the frequency of the event entry with Kordiam (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).

Note: "Repeating" cannot be selected when a publication platform is used.

Modifying repeating events

When opening an entry belonging to an event series, you will be asked to edit all entries of the series or only an indicidual entry. if you choose to edit an individual entry, the element will be removed from the series.

Modifications to the series will no longer affect this specific event.


Restrictions

The logic of repeating events can conflict with other data contained within the entry mask. For this reason, the following restrictions may apply:

• A repeating event cannot be linked to a planned publication
• Separate appointments for a repeating event are not possible
• The content tab must be left empty

These restrictions do not appear on elements that have been removed from the series (see "modifying repeating events").
